Edwards conceptualizes The Familyworks Project: a proposed study to examine the impact of design on childcare delivery; it grew out of her consulting work, training teachers and daycare providers. Developing the project reveals dramatic voids in the literature, the research and the understanding on environments for children - the misunderstanding and ignorance on this subject proves to be widespread. Thus funding for project cannot be obtained.
The need for CHILDESIGN is clear.
