CHILDESIGN is a 501(C)3 organization. Our work is only possible through generous contributions: our financial and product donors and those who volunteer their expertise, ideas and time. We offer special thanks to our Sponsors; for without you, we couldn't accept or make use of any of the rest. However, in our view, there are no "small" donors; all contributions are vital to our efforts. All have our undying gratitude. We have tried our best to compile a complete list; if we have left anyone off, please forgive us and contact us right away.

FOUNDING SPONSOR |
CONTRIBUTORS 70 union tradesmen have volunteered their considerable skills in carpentry, plumbing and electrical to help CHILDESIGN bring three of its Demo Projects to life. "MORE INFO IN CHILDESIGN MAGAZINE, SUMMER 2004 ISSUE"
Three union volunteers deserve special thanks:
J.R. REVICZKY ![]() J.R. is a Councilman for the City of Hermosa Beach, CA, site of our most extensive Demo Project. His enthusiastic support and his extensive troubleshooting throughout the construction process were invaluable. Additionally, he lead a team of union electricians from Sasco Electric -- he is a Training Director for this country's largest union electrical contractor - and, himself, rolled up his sleeves, as pictures show, and pitched in on the work. We consider him the Project Angel. The project site child, who first met JR at the age of 5-month, still asks for him by name. KIM FERGUSON His dedication to CHILDESIGN's L.A. Project was extraordinary; it was not derailed even by the death of his father only days before the project start, nor by the tragedy of 9/11, which greatly expanded the project installation time period, and commensurately, his contribution. His master carpentry skills and his commitment to quality were an inspiration, and did his union proud. MATT SPANGLER Matt ably acted as G.C. on our Kansas City Project, calling in and coordinating the other union locales, setting the mold for a truly successful partnership with skilled union workers that is an extraordinary contribution to our cause!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!donate underused space to us for an editorial office & design studio while we complete the final funding for & the build-out of The National Center on Design for Children.) Our warmest thanks to Edward D. Miller for making our new design studio / editorial office at 11 Broadway in NYC possible!! ROBIN CORWITH Robin was the Chair of our Night on the Town(s) benefits...and so, so much more. No words can adequately thank her for her years of enthusiastic, tireless commitment and her incredible contribution. No organization ever had a better volunteer!
Robin Corwith at the first Night on the Town(s), enjoying the fruits of her labor and a job well done. SHERMAINE DAVIS (Shermaine was CHILDESIGNs trusted administrative assistant for many years, but her commitment went beyond the call of duty: during a period when funding ran out, she did not. Remarkably, she didnt abandon us, but kept on working for some time until she left to have a baby. For all those donated hours, thank you! (Shermaine, we still miss you! Stop by & see us!) JOYCE GOODMAN Now a jewelry designer; Joyce was Assistant Director of our Scandinavian Child Exhibition Project. She was a talented, able & blessedly patient coordinator. VAL ARTHUR KRATZMAN Our research in Scandinavia, and our support from within those countries, has been pivotal to the development of CHILDESIGN. In a field crowded with understanding and supportive people, one person nonetheless stands out in his unwavering commitment and his repeated assistance over the last 15 years. Val is currently a Trade Commissioner of Finland, and was previously a consultant to the Trade Commission of Norway. PHOTOBITION Donated the scanning of part of our extensive slide archive into digital images, which will now make it possible to share it with you. We welcome additional help in this area.
