Throughout its award-winning, two decade history, CHILDESIGN (a not-for-profit 501C3
organization) has served as a unique advocate for children, families & communities.
A "virtual center" delivering its unique message, images and recommendations on site and
in person: at conferences and trade shows, in executive offices and design studios, in
lectures reaching a diverse public from childcare professionals to assemblies of world
designers, in classrooms and healthcare facilities, at construction sites and demo models,
in interviews and publications, on television, and through its consulting services.

CHILDESIGN fosters greater public awareness about the critical role design plays in the
daily lives of children (and of the people who live and work with them) and, thus, about
the need for far greater sensitivity toward children in the designs that shape their childhood.

HILDESIGN's work is about INTERSECTIONS: between elegance & innocence;

between the wishes of adults & the needs of children; between our memories, hopes &
dreams and the reality of childhood today; between the demand for families to consume
& the need to preserve the environment that children will inherit (sustainable design), etc.
